About the Company

Established in 1987 by Mr. Kanitlal and Mr. Sandeep Sanghvi, we have been providing high-quality powder coating solutions for over twenty years. The Sanghvi Family Legacy
- Their family history began in the year 1938, when Mr. Sandeep Sanghvi’s grandfather Mr. Surajmal Kesari Sanghvi left Rajasthan and came to Pune with a bright future in mind. He had big plans and wanted to set up an industry in the renowned and promising city of Pune. Before leaving his hometown, he had a few obligations to be fulfilled. In accordance with that, he built separate schools and colleges for girls and boys as well as residential schools. He also donated a hospital for the village as well as a water supply system for the entire village. Many such necessary and thoughtful donations were made by the family.
- Later in the year 1938, they came to Pune, where their first contribution was building Sanghvi Kesari College in Chinchwad. This was just the beginning! They gave a considerable donation to help build the first hospital building for Ruby Hall, that’s where Ruby Hall started with Dr. Grant. Not only did Mr. Sanghvi encourage progress financially, but he also was a member of several committees and took active part in each and every one of them. He was also on the committee of Mahatma Gandhi Eye Hospital, and several donations of substantial amounts were made to them too. This is some of the major philanthropy of the family.
- Soon in 1986 they became independent of their family business and in 1987 they started Orbit. After successfully setting up Orbit, they have now reached a population of 350 people who are currently working under them and helping them execute their vision. The village behind their company too is taken care of by them. They have donated a school as well as provided them with computers which benefits them greatly! Mr. Sandeep Sanghvi is currently the trustee of Panjrapole where they look after and maintain 2000 cows. Besides this, he is also the trustee of Nakoda Mandir in Alandi where they are building 108 apartments for those who are unable to make ends meet. The Sanghvi family and its legacy believe in helping and providing for those in need and they try their best to serve the society as much as they can to the best of their ability!
Our History
- Our journey began in 1938, with the late Shree Surajmal Sanghvi and PTC i.e. Patent Tiffin Carrier, marking the beginning of a modest venture, driven by a strong vision.
- In 1947, the Sanghvis established a rolling mill plant for rolling Copper, Brass & aluminum sheets. By 1960, they had marked themselves as of the leading aluminum suppliers in the country with annual sales of around 4000 tons.
- As India underwent a change in governance and industrial growth in the late 1980s, Orbit WinDoor Pvt Ltd was established under the able guidance of Mr. Kantilal Sanghvi and Mr. Sandeep Sanghvi in 1981. This marked the beginning of a new era in the company’s history.
- In 1987, Orbit Coatings set up its powder coating plant in Alandi, Pune, spread over an area of 2,50,000 sq. ft. This was a defining moment for Orbit, as it aimed to become a One-Stop solution to everything in Powder Coating.
- Today, Orbit has come a long way from its modest beginnings and has set up offices in Pune, Chennai, NCR Delhi, Gurgaon, Hosur, and Dubai, with a rich legacy spanning over eight decades. We take pride in our history and look forward to a promising future.
